Complete walkthrough of the CupNation app โ€“ from your first login to managing your own tournament.

Step 1

Registration & Login

Creating an account is simple and takes just a moment. All you need is an email and password.

  • Open the app and tap Register
  • Enter your email and choose a password
  • Set your display name (visible to others)
  • Optionally add a profile photo and favourite team
  • Next time, simply log in with email and password

Tip: Your display name is visible in leaderboards and tournaments. Choose one that represents you!

Step 2

Joining a Tournament

Find a tournament that interests you and join with a single tap.

  • Open the Public Tournaments tab in the bottom menu
  • Browse the list of available tournaments
  • Tap on a tournament to see its details
  • Press Join to enter the tournament
  • Or use a tournament code from a friend for private tournaments

Tip: In "My Tournaments" you can see all tournaments you participate in.

Step 3

Match Predictions

Predict the exact score of every match. The more accurate, the more points you earn.

  • In the tournament detail, open the Matches tab
  • Tap on the match you want to predict
  • Enter the expected home and away score
  • For playoff matches, you can also predict overtime/shootout
  • Predictions can be changed anytime before kick-off

Scoring:

6 pts โ€“ exact score  |  4 pts โ€“ winner + 1 score  |  3 pts โ€“ correct winner  |  1 pt โ€“ wrong winner + 1 score

Every tournament offers several tabs with detailed information about the competition.

Creating Your Own Tournament

With a premium subscription or tournament pass, you can create your own tournament competition.

  • Open My Tournaments and tap +
  • Enter name, description and choose visibility (public/private)
  • Select a template (e.g. Ice Hockey Worlds) or create from scratch
  • For custom tournaments, pick teams from the database and set groups
  • Add matches with date, time and team pairs
  • Share the tournament code with players to join

Tournament Management (for Creators)

As the tournament creator, you have full control over the competition.

  • Add and edit matches โ€“ date, time, teams
  • Enter results โ€“ points are recalculated automatically
  • Fix results โ€“ in case of an error, points are recalculated again
  • Manage players โ€“ overview of participants and their predictions
  • Push notifications โ€“ players get alerts for new results
  • Playoff โ€“ set up elimination rounds and matches
